Just a quick note to let you know I had a beautiful baby girl on July 21…
Lulu was a very healthy 9 pound 4. I had an amazing birth, it was very quick with my membrane releasing before I was in labor. Unfortunately there was some meconium so we had to go straight to hospital. Luckily labor established about 30 mins after we arrived and 2 hrs and 18 mins later she was with us!
Our midwife was sick and unable to birth with us, but the one we had was so accommodating of our requests and even with the special circumstance, she advocated for us and we managed to birth with no interventions, just Luke, me and the lovely Wendy.
There was a Dr in the corner under strict instruction not to interrupt and to be quiet and still until she was born. She was briefly resuscitated but otherwise healthy as a horse! We couldn’t be happier!
Thank you for your teachings, the method allowed us to heal from our first birthing experience and I’ve regained my confidence in my body, as a mother and a women.
