32 Weeks Pregnant

The 3rd Trimester! You are 7 months pregnant! Your baby is around 1702g, 42.4cm long and the size of a papaya.

Baby’s Development

Your baby’s brain grows the most during the last two months of pregnancy. Baby’s lungs and digestive system also continue to mature.

What’s Happening For You

  • At 32 weeks, you are now entering the 7th month of your pregnancy, with just 2 more months to go to reach your estimated due date.
  • You’re probably gaining 450 grams a week, largely because your baby is likely to gain more than half his/her birthweight during the seven weeks before birth.

Things To Consider

  • A diet with an adequate intake of protein is essential during the last two months of pregnancy for the building of baby’s brain cells. If you are a vegetarian and do not eat meat, you will need to plan a diet that provides all eight essential amino acids (protein) through a combination of vegetables, legumes and grains. Good protein sources include red meat, fish, poultry, eggs, milk, cheese, dried beans and peas, peanut butter and nuts.
